OpenSight™ is a public-interest initiative, and it is built in the open. There are contribution areas across hardware, research and sponsorship, at every stage of the project.
Help us form the board
We need three directors and a company secretary
To incorporate The OpenSight Foundation Ltd we need three directors and a company secretary. We already have a few people in mind who are keen, and we'd like more names on the list before the paperwork is filed, not after.
We're looking for people from road authorities, contractors, universities, technology, governance or finance backgrounds who believe in open infrastructure data. If that's you, email hello@opensight.com.au or visit our contact page.
Our focus for now is Australia, where these roads are the proof case, but the same problem exists everywhere. If you want to start an OpenSight presence in your own country, or contribute from anywhere in the meantime, tell us.

Governance
Planned, not yet in place
OpenSight's governance model (maintainers, a technical steering group and an industry advisory group) is planned. It does not exist yet.
Openness in practice
Open source, by commitment
All core software will be published under open-source licences. Community improvements are welcomed and adopted. We treat this as a working principle, not just an aspiration.
